Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The Value Stream Manager will provide front line production leadership to a manufacturing value stream team, utilizing lean business systems as the keystone of the daily activities required to deliver business results in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost (SQDIP).  Establish a world-class manufacturing organization to support current and future challenges.  This position will have direct reporting responsibility for a value stream team consisting of Team Leads, Test Technicians and Assemblers.

Job Core Responsibilities

 •    Provide motivational leadership and communication to all team associates to ensure understanding and attainment of SQDIP objectives to ensure customer satisfaction.
•    Leads value stream team and coordinates functional resources (Planning, CSM, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.) to ensure quality and daily delivery.
•    Utilize, drive, and promote understanding of Lean tools and principles to ensure the delivery of business objectives and a culture of continuous improvement.  Develop and implement kaizen plans, daily management, lean conversion, and countermeasures.
•    Ensure compliance with company policies and procedure. Take active role in safety awareness and accident prevention.
•    Ensure proper staffing levels, quality and quantity, to meet customer requirements and achieve productivity targets.
•    Develop the operations team by providing training, coaching, and counseling as appropriate.
•    Ensures compliance with general safety, relevant legislation, regulations (Part 145) and company requirements.
•    Ensure adherence to Manufacturing and Repair instructions and manuals.
•    Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations.
•    Other responsibilities as assigned.
•    Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
•    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing / Technology, or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience
•    Minimum 2-year proven shop floor operations leadership / supervisory experience in a multi-functional manufacturing environment
•    Working knowledge and advanced training in Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques
•    Proven ability to develop and enhance a suboptimal organization including the formal development of direct reports
•    Ability to work in a matrix organization 
•    Demonstrated ability to lead in a rapid changing, intense, and demanding environment.
•    Outstanding spreadsheet utilization skills along with proficiency in word processing and presentation software (MS Office)
•    Ability to solve complex problems and exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information 
•    Exceptional leadership skills including ability to drive improvements/results across departments
•    Strong Interpersonal and organizational skills
•    Analytical, fact-based problem solver
•    Commitment to Continuous Improvement
•    High degree of attention to detail; strong sense of urgency
