Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The QA Engineer position directly supports the Quality Manager in embracing key departmental objectives geared towards overall customer satisfaction.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    AS9100 involvement and internal & external auditing
•    Corrective action coordination and in-depth root cause analysis
•    Customer and supplier interaction (e.g. program management reviews, supplier audits, customer audits)
•    Monitoring and use of customer databases
•    Lean Enterprise and Lean Manufacturing tools
•    Statistical tools (DOE, SPC, Lean, FMEA, 6Sig)
•    PPM daily monitoring and countermeasures
•    PPM related failure analysis (work bench)
•    Software quality checks
•    First Article Inspection (FAI)
•    Process problem solving
•    Involvement with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process
•    Reliability (MTBF, MTBUR) calculations
•    Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) analysis and reporting
•    Develop product inspection plans
•    Chair Material Review Board (MRB)
•    Other responsibilities as assigned
•    Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matter of significance
•    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekend, and variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience: Minimum 3 years of electrical and/or mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a quality-related position.
•    Working knowledge of inspection techniques, procedures, instruments, etc.
•    Working knowledge of SPC, DOE, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Six Sigma
•    Experience with and demonstrated understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001 requirements
•    Ability to effectively handle significant inquiries and/or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and third party auditors
•    Previous experience with printed circuit board electronics (preferred)
•    Familiarity with J-STD and IPC standards (preferred)
•    Experience with FAA regulatory requirements (14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65,120, 121, 135, & 145)
•    Proficient using Microsoft Office products, databases, and MRP systems
