Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

Job Designation

The primary responsibilities of the Planning Manager are the delivery of the Supply Plan, and the alignment, development, and coordination of the 18-24 month global Master Supply Plan. This role also oversees the correct translation of the 18-24 month Master Supply Plan to the weekly master schedules for the business.  The Planning Manager actively participates in the operations of the business and supports decision making with information and analysis. They will also direct the team objectives, while aligning tasks with company policies and procedures. This position may have direct customer contact to help communicate the site's operations and production plans to support their needs.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Leads and directs the Production Forecasting team to obtain optimum productivity, while reaching department goals
•    Optimizes  production forecasting costs while maintaining budget goals
•    Drives cross-functional alignment to produce and communicate on a monthly basis the master supply plans for the business over the appropriate planning horizons to support the Demand Plan. 
•    Develops Resource Requirement for the end-to-end Supply Chain and prepares other required data and information to lead the monthly Supply Review, including internal manufacturing points and externally sourced materials.
•    Directs the team activities to meet company requirements
•    Develops and introduces best-in-class master production planning and scheduling practices in order to drive the system to 100 +/-10% aggregate supply to plan attainment
•    Identifies optimization opportunities via analysis of current processes/procedures including materials requirements planning, scheduling methods, production capabilities, transactional and reporting capabilities and other related topics.
•    Champions the use of the ERP system as the primary tool to plan and schedule production.
•    Collaborates with Operations and Customer Service to establish Available-to-Promise capacity. 
•    Establishes the managing process to keep up-to-date master and transactional data elements and assumptions related to supply planning.  
•    Actively communicates with leadership and customers to identify challenges and opportunities related to the attainment of the supply plans.  Manages capacities in a way that supports the agreed upon business and customer priorities.  Closely interacts with other functions to expedite critical orders as needed.  
•    Generates reports to provide visibility of the operational status and track performance.
•    Manages crisis resolution to ensure  continuous flow of production scheduling , under designated budget
•    Ensures general safety, compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and company requirements
•    Utilizes resources effectively and drives improvements

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation
Certifications: APICS Certified a plus; ERP Proficient 
Years’ Experience: 5-7 years of planning experience
•    Strong experience in forecasting, material requirements planning, or logistics management
•    Supervisory skills including delegation, training and evaluating performance
•    Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional leadership
•    Working knowledge of Material Resource Planning
•    Strong quantitative and analytical skills      
•    Ability to identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems      
•    Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
•    Proficient in Project Management tools (i.e., MS Project) or similar tool(s)
•    Computer proficient, including Microsoft Windows software applications
•    Excellent customer service skills
