Expertise in this division ranges from heat exchangers used in off-shore gas processing to the design and manufacture of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock and pressure measurements. Our heat exchanger technology has not only enabled our customers to save weight, space, and money, but offer higher duties, smaller sizes, and greater integrity over conventional heat exchangers. We are a leading supplier of small-frame gas turbine actuation systems and fuel metering valves for the oil and gas and power generation sectors.

Our Defense Systems product group includes a wealth of expertise with products ranging from airborne decoy deployment systems to projectile tracking technology is another of our specialties. We produce tiny radar systems that are installed on drone aircraft to track incoming missiles or bullets, reassuring aircrew and missile manufacturers that their weapons are working as advertised.

Job Designation

The Systems Engineer 2 is responsible for full requirements traceability management, assists with system and component level design according to requirements develops and maintains dynamic models. Collaborates with test engineering to perform a variety of testing and verification of components and systems throughout the development process.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Supports the technical activities of the system and the various disciplines.
•    Ensures that the customers’ requirements for all product/module-level deliverables are clearly defined and documented.
•    Defines and maintains system level documentation for legacy and new development products (e.g. Interface Control Documents).
•    Defines and develops subsystem and component level requirements and specifications.
•    Maintains, uses and supports the use of standard requirements management tools (Jama preferred).
•    Develops and maintains dynamic system models using standard tools (Simulink preferred).
•    Supports system integration between the various system development disciplines.
•    Supports application engineering and Bid & Proposal activity in providing expeditious requirements based Statements of Work and work scope estimates for new and modified product developments.
•    Other responsibilities as assigned.
•    Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
•    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering required
Years' Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience

 Systems Engineering knowledge and experience
•    Able to solve a range of complex problems from a systematic and analytical approach
•    Uses best practices and knowledge to improve products
•    Multi-discipline capability preferred:
     o    Mechanical (stress & life analysis, mechanical tolerance analysis, materials, coatings, & treatments)
     o    Electrical - Software (understanding of basic coding, code development & testing)
     o    Electrical – Hardware (basic electrical principles, voltage, current, impedance, power, fields (electric & magnetic))
     o    Test (test planning & management, physical (vibration, shock, thermal, exposure), EMI/EMC, qualification,  DO-160 and MIL standard experience an advantage)
     o    Manufacturing (assembly, process, test, design for manufacturing, assembly, reliability)
•    System integration & architecture management (understanding of how sub-systems interact, work in concert, function; know how one element of a system (e. g. material choice) may impact other aspects of the assembly like EMI/EMC)
•    Good communication skills, both written and verbal; able to explain difficult or sensitive information to build consensus
•    Knowledge of Simulink and Jama a plus
