Job Designation

This is a Temporary Position.

 

Under the direction of the Live Fire Service Manager, this position services live-fire training equipment sold by Meggitt Training Systems.  In some instances, the service tech is responsible for completing the work utilizing locally hired labor.  This position requires travel up to 70% of the time, with typical service assignments lasting 2 -10 work days, including weekends and nights when the range is closed. Required to train Customers on Meggitt Product 10% of time. Willing to travel & make reports 20% of time.

 

Job Core Responsibilities

 

  • Delivers expertise in a range of post-sale services to the customer and provides excellent customer service through communication and problem solving
  • Receives and coordinates responses to field customer requests and inquiries regarding existing or new products and services Monitors quotations, sales, shipments, and post sales follow-up to ensure industry leading service
  • Responds to customer inquiries regarding order status, product information, claims/returns and account status
  • Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure meeting or exceeding key metrics
  • Maintains and updates internal systems/databases to organize customer information
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
  • Must have ability to work efficiently and safe, safety is a top priority and each individual is responsible for not only themselves but those around them.
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools to verify drawing requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong ability to use and understand construction tools and equipment, read and interpret blueprints.

  • Able to work independently on projects with little to no supervision.

  • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Collaborate as a strong team member- work jointly on an activity, especially to produce or create something.

Job Specifications

Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience
