Job Designation

 

Under the direction of the Live Fire Service Manager, this position services live-fire training equipment sold by Meggitt Training Systems.  In some instances, the service tech is responsible for completing the work utilizing locally hired labor.  This position requires travel up to 70% of the time, with typical service assignments lasting 2 - 10 work days, including weekends and nights when the range is closed. Required to train Customers on Meggitt Product 10% of time. Willing to travel & make reports 20% of time.

  • Demonstrate strong ability to use and understand construction tools and equipment, read and interpret blueprints.

  • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Troubleshoot problems, both mechanical and electrical, and determine and implement solutions.
  • Work with customers to determine the best solutions.
  • Help prepare, edit, revise and draft documentation for the service, operation and maintenance of the MTSI/Caswell equipment.
  • Deal with customers in person and by phone to help them trouble shoot and correct problems.
  • Frequently lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

 

Personal Attributes required:

Construction experience a plus, ability to read prints, ability to lead a team.

Educational Requirements: High School Minimum
