Summary
The Operations Excellence Leader will lead and direct all Continuous Improvement activities across the site. Successful candidate will provide leadership and delivery of improvement programs to increase the sites competitiveness. Furthermore, the new Ops Excellence Leader will be responsible for delivering of Lean Sigma Black/green Belt projects and the coaching of Green and yellow Belts/ Kaizens/A3s, the lead source of expertise on the application of lean sigma tools and techniques.
Core Responsibilities
- Drive the Parker Lean System (PLS) across the site leadership and align with all functions on PLS.
- Act as the interface between the site and the Product group/ Division in all Improvement / PLS matters.
- Deliver business improvements and cost savings through the delivery of improvement Projects.
- Coach effectively to increase capabilities across the site for Green and yellow Belts & problem solving (Kaizen/ A3s).
- Lead the deployment of the PLS and lead plan to increase in maturity.
- Analyse, measure the effectiveness of complex business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements in support of Site leadership goals.
- Lead Business Continuity and Risk Management alongside strategy deployment.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Lean Sigma Black/Green Belt.
- Results focused with track record of delivering improvements.
- Manufacturing experience is essential.
- Operations experience would be an ideal match.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
- Able to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.
- Confident to provide cross-functional leadership.
- Proficient in Project Management tools (i.e., MS Project and Visio) or similar project tool.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers.
