Job Designation

Under direct supervision, provides expertise in the development of software per defined requirements and specifications. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.
     

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Applies software standards and utilizes specifications to architect, design, develop, integrate and test software applications.

•    Communicates status of work to supervisor or mentor. Perform, track and control internal project activities. Creates  periodical status reports for key functions.

•    Identifies continuous improvement opportunities, including standardization of tools and processes. 

•    Performs additional responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications

Education : Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

0 - 2 years of relevant experience
Skills :

•    Experience in software design, coding and debugging, ideally using an established configuration/version management tool
•    Experience with designing and developing Graphical User Interfaces with .NET, Python or similar 
•    Experience with embedded software
•    Experience with interfacing with external control and capturing systems (Digital or Analog Acquisition Devices, Servos,
     Motors, etc)
•    Ability to work in a team environment
•    Ability to research and analyze data effectively    
•    Effective verbal and written communication skills 
•    Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
•    Knowledge of external interface and communication protocols (e.g. CAN, RS232, or ARINC )
•    Knowledge of embedded interface and communication protocols (e.g. SPI or I2C)
•    Knowledge of database and structure query languages.
•    Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
