Job Designation

Leads the program management function for a business or a group of businesses. Oversees several related programs and ensures that the overall goals are met. Creates and revises programs, develops policies and guidelines, and ensures compliance with government regulations and management objectives. Partners with all internal functions responsible for product design, production, delivery and support of product(s) assigned. Works with customers to ensure satisfaction and promotes customer relationship with Meggitt.   

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for through-life performance of all programmes within the Product Group, including project NPV & IRR, non-recurring & recurring costs, schedule and quality adherence, customer satisfaction, and management of opportunities, risks, customer or other programme escalation
  • Implementation and application of Programme Lifecycle Management to ensure effective governance of programmes including programme reviews and gate reviews
  • Management of key customer relationships within the Product Group; management and coordination of escalated issues.
  • Leading and developing programme managers, project managers to ensure effective execution and performance programmes within the Product Group
  • Ensuring that underperforming programmes are recognised and the appropriate recovery actions taken
  • Leading deployment of HPS within the PM function
  • Supporting the preparation of proposals during bids for new business.

Job Specifications

Job Specifications:

  • 10 years of programme management experience in a production industry (preferably aerospace)
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
  • Broad experience in business, engineering and manufacturing management with at least 10 years of relevant experience working in a product development organisation 
  • Strong customer focus and relationship management capabilities.
  • Strong capability with programme and project management methodologies applied across large complex organisations and programmes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management abilities to align diverse stakeholder groups towards common goals
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking capabilities along with the ability to interface with cross-functional disciplines; planning and prioritizing work across multiple programmes to meet commitments, using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Possesses a strong technical background to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements and capabilities associated with the programme
  • Self-motivated with problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear and detailed plans
