Job Designation

 

As part of the global Connectivity and Network Security team you will be working across a broad range of LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VoIP and Network Security technologies and liaising with multiple areas of the business to support, evaluate, build, and maintain our global connectivity environment. As a senior member of the team you will be responsible for providing specialist technical, project support and expertise including traditional hardware platforms as well as software defined networks, taking technical ownership and management of projects, priority incidents and problem records. You will be directly involved in conversations with senior stakeholders in relation to deployment of new network technologies, including orchestration and automation as well as monitoring tooling, and provide input into the technology strategy and to help define the technology direction of the company, ensuring alignment to the technical portfolio. You will also support and delegate work to junior team members in your region.

 

Job Core Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee and support projects in technical capacity, ensuring standards are being followed
  • Take proactive role in maintaining and developing our technology platforms and recommend areas of improvement
  • Perform problem identification and root cause analysis for complex issues
  • Liaise with 3rd parties/vendors and ensure SLA’s and deliverables are met
  • Engage internal customers to understand their requirements for network services
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior members of the team
  • Take active part in technology strategy decisions 

 

 

Job Specifications

 

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree  or equivalent experience.   5+ years of experience in IT Networks
Travel: up to 10%

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies covering WAN, LAN, Wireless, and VoIP
  • Strong understanding of network security technologies independent of a particular vendor
  • Strong understanding of monitoring technologies and willingness to develop new skillset in the area
