Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The Engineer II, Mechanical will conduct technical activities in the Cable Product Line, including the following: analysis, product design, testing, and modelling.  The candidate will provide expertise in electro-mechanical design and application engineering.  The candidate will utilize his/her knowledge of parts design, material properties, and engineering theory to enhance and sustain the Cable Product Line. The engineer will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team that works on programs that serve the defense, aerospace, and energy markets.

Job Core Responsibilities

Engineering activities may include but are not limited to:

  • Design cable products and systems
  • Interconnection design
  • 3-D Modeling, routing, and packaging using SolidWorks
  • Specification of materials and assembly methods
  • Sustain and support existing cable products
  • Qualification and Certification Testing – fixture design
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications

Education : Post-secondary degree in Engineering (preferrably Mechanical or Aerospace), or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations. Master's degree preferred. 
Years Experience : 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
Skills :

  • Engineering experience in an aerospace environment. A minimum of five years of experience is preferred.
  • Solids modeling experience using SolidWorks
  • Experience with materials properties and selection
  • Able to manage multiple tasks in a concurrent engineering environment
  • Ability to perform stress analysis using Cosmos is preferred
  • Experience with aerospace industry standards and specifications
  • MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills are essential
