Job Designation

The Document Control Clerk provides routine document and data support to the engineering teams. Ensures proper upkeep of technical documents, while conducting a variety of duties.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Provides routine document and data support to the engineering teams, while coordinating a variety of activates
  •  Processes paperwork and documents; keeping strict attention to details per department procedures
  •  Maintains logs, records, files and electronic databases for engineering documents
  •  Archives drawing and document copies according to department procedures 
  •  Files and retrieves information in alphabetical and/or numerical filing system
  •  Assists in maintaining technical product and vendor catalog files
  •  Prepares drawings and document copies on microfilm, blue print or copy equipment
  •  Other responsibilities as assigned
  •  Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Job Specifications

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience

Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience of document control processes and the ability to coordinate activities for a team
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills 
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
  • Ability to recognize and solve typical problems and select solutions from established options      
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
