Program Management integrates across the organization to deliver the committed business case and benefits to our stakeholders. Meggitt’s ability to effectively manage and control programs to deliver business case blue chips and delight our customer’s is key to our success.
  • Meggitt PLC is seeking a talented individual to work with our Divisions, Product Groups and Sites in the USA to develop and mature program management capability and where necessary actively engage with high value (>$6M), high complexity strategically important programs to drive recovery planning & execution, typically requiring the most senior customer level engagement to resolve and ExCo level approval to conclude. Key stakeholder relationships will be with ExCo, Divisional & Product Group leadership. 

Job Core Responsibilities

 

Member of the Meggitt PMO based in the USA. Recognized as an ambassador for the professionalization and improvement of program management across Group. Establishing collaborative and beneficial working relationships with all stakeholders and working across the organization matrix to ensure the integration of program management best practices across all functions. Support and assist Division, Product Group, Site leadership and program teams to develop and continuously improve Program Management capability and performance. Providing effective and targeted coaching and mentoring to experienced program and project teams to improve both individual and team performance. Where required, leading program recovery on strategically important issues, ensuring value delivery to Meggitt, our customers and stakeholders;

 

  • Analyzing the status quo independently from the perspective of all parties and deriving SWOT
  • Formulating, communicating and aligning internally expectation and targeted outcome
  • Identifying main business case levers, building scenarios and outlining the recovery framework
  • Derive the strategy and tactics of the recovery approach and management of the customer interface
  • Building recovery plans and securing commitment / acceptance for required resources and support
  • Communicating status and progress appropriately to stakeholders

Job Specifications

 

Education: 

  • Minimum 10 years of program management experience in aerospace industry or similar with at least 5 years holding Senior Management / Executive positions.
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
  • Broad experience in business, engineering and manufacturing management with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience working in an environment requiring high (senior) level negotiations

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and management abilities to align diverse stakeholder groups towards common objectives
  • Solid experience with program and project management and finance methodologies applied across large complex programs
  • Possess a strong technical background to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements and capabilities associated with the program
  • Self-motivated with problem solving and decision making skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear and detailed plans
