Summary

Working as part of the Engineering team to deliver and review technical projects for both internal and external customers in response to requirements for solutions in elastomer sealing based applications. The Project Engineer will be responsible for engineering projects across the Polymer Seals facilities and based in Loughborough.

Core Responsibilities

  • With support from the Engineering team, ensure projects are fully realised and contribute to business goals and objectives. Define and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
  • Understand technical specifications and set KPIs and targets for projects, reporting progress and taking the necessary actions to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Ensure all data within project files is recorded, maintained and managed.
  • In accordance with design and test procedures take ownership of project activities through all stages of design through to validation.
  • Provide technical assistance to both internal and external customers ensuring their engineering requirements are met on an effective basis.
  • Provide support to internal Sustaining Engineering activities, tracking progress and effectively managing time to meet delivery. expectations.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Two years plus of experience and relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering are essential.
  • Background in Aerospace, Manufacturing or Automotive is highly desirable.
  • Able to research and analyse data effectively.
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and good at multi-tasking.
  • Capable to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Comfortable to work independently and prioritise duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.
  • Decision making skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers.
