Summary

 

This is an exciting opportunity to manage and lead the AP, AR, Expense and GL processes across two UK sites based in Shepshed & Stevenage that are part of the Composites Product Group (with the role based at Shepshed). This role will be required to work closely with the FP&A team to ensure month end accounts are produced in a timely and accurate manner and will provide a great opportunity to engage with the wider business, gaining an insight into the Composites business.

Deliverables

 

  • Manage all customer accounts ensuring all aspects of credit control completed including: timely receipt of balances, monthly reconciliations, prompt query resolution, credit checks completed, overdue debt chased
  • Responsible for producing monthly EC sales, intrastats and inter-company recharges
  • Have oversight of the overall transaction processing activity – requires a working knowledge of AP, Expenses and General Ledger
  • Supervise an AP clerk
  • Work closely with the business to ensure processes followed and any business issues understood and resolved
Key Skills and Attributes

 

  • Credit control background with working knowledge of all aspects of transaction processing – AP, AR, General Ledger and Cash
  • Intermediate skills in Excel important
  • Knowledge of Syspro would be useful but not essential
  • Strong record in building relationships inside and outside of the business
  • Supervisory experience and managing others would be preferable
  • Proven ability to standardize and improve processes
