Job Designation

The Total Productive Maintenance Supervisor will utilize organizational skills, people skills and hands on maintenance skills to implement and improve the Total Productive Maintenance program.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Develops and refines equipment Preventive Maintenance checklists.
  • Ensures PM services are scheduled and performed thoroughly and on time.
  • Coordinates PM inspection schedules with production schedules in order to minimize downtime.
  • Tracks planned maintenance downtime.
  • Trains production leads and operators to perform minor daily maintenance on equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and inspections and trains PM Technicians to perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
  • Trains PM Technicians to recognize and report abnormal conditions on equipment in order to facilitate repairs before minor issues lead to machine downtime.
  • Identifies and trains PM Technicians to identify, new items for addition to PM inspection checklists, to improve equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Accurately updates maintenance software records and maintains accurate reports for work orders, planned and unplanned downtime.
  • Maintains an accurate parts inventory of all PM related items.
  • Identifies opportunities to implement predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Identifies and recommends equipment design changes to improve safety, reduce maintenance requirements and improve reliability.
  • Performs other tasks and duties as needed.
Job Specifications


A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.


Years Experience:

  • Eight years of combined education and/or experience in an industrial maintenance and repair discipline.
  • Electrical, mechanical and hydraulics experience preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a TPM leadership position in manufacturing preferred.
  • Computer literate with experience with MS Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Current driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Willing to work 9/80 schedule with flexible hours and overtime when necessary.



  • Thorough, accurate and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and coach others.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to effectively utilize Computerized Maintenance Software.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Demonstrates and maintains a professional demeanor in all situations including the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
