Expertise in this division ranges from heat exchangers used in off-shore gas processing to the design and manufacture of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock and pressure measurements. Our heat exchanger technology has not only enabled our customers to save weight, space, and money, but offer higher duties, smaller sizes, and greater integrity over conventional heat exchangers. We are a leading supplier of small-frame gas turbine actuation systems and fuel metering valves for the oil and gas and power generation sectors.

Our Defense Systems product group includes a wealth of expertise with products ranging from airborne decoy deployment systems to projectile tracking technology is another of our specialties. We produce tiny radar systems that are installed on drone aircraft to track incoming missiles or bullets, reassuring aircrew and missile manufacturers that their weapons are working as advertised.

Job Designation

The Sr. Planner Lead plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to ensure production has everything required to perform according to schedules. Advises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers. Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions. Also performs supervisory tasks and leads projects for the planning team.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors products through the complete production cycle to meet production requirements.
•    Works to resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
•    Establish and maintain gross inventory targets with increased complexity and may review work of associates/team members. Includes developing action plans to minimize inventory exposure and for scrapping or mitigating excess and obsolete parts based on business information.
•    Training of SAP to the Planners and Buyers to ensure consistent deployment of requirements into the system, to the supplier and resulting in meeting customers demand schedules.
•    Supervises planner employees
•    Other responsibilities as assigned
•    Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
•    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years' Experience: 10+ years of manufacturing experience in an industrial or aerospace environment; 3+ years of supervisory and planning experience preferred
Skills:
•    Knowledge of planning best practices and experience with managing tight development program deadlines in manufacturing environment
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong SAP system knowledge required; BPO experience
•    Solid experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
•    Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
•    Solves complex problems and exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
•    Strong cross functional interaction experience; comfortable building relationships with internal teams and external customers
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to drive tasks to completion
•    Team oriented, proactive and collaborative
•    Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
