Expertise in this division ranges from heat exchangers used in off-shore gas processing to the design and manufacture of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock and pressure measurements. We are a leading supplier of small-frame gas turbine actuation systems and fuel metering valves for the oil and gas and power generation sectors.

Our Defense Systems product group includes a wealth of expertise with products ranging from airborne decoy deployment systems to projectile tracking technology is another of our specialties. We produce tiny radar systems that are installed on drone aircraft to track incoming missiles or bullets, reassuring aircrew and missile manufacturers that their weapons are working as advertised.

Job Designation

The Sr. Planner uses expertise in defining the required purchases or deliverables by planning, scheduling and monitoring the movement of materials or services throughout the product life cycle. Analyzes procurement planning requirements for specific area and maintains appropriate levels of inventory at planned levels.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Defines the required purchases or deliverables by planning, scheduling and monitoring the movement of materials, goods or services throughout the product life cycle
•    Utilizes SAP and MRP in the planning, monitoring, and launching of production work orders and outside process orders in support of Operations’ objectives, on time customer order fulfillment, and various materials' objectives like inventory optimization
•    Works on a wide variety of complex planning activities where production techniques are new or variable
•    Maintains current and accurate purchase order data in the purchasing system (e.g. delivery dates, pricing, change orders)
•    Provides frequent communication to internal and external customers on product deliveries and project deliverables
•    Plans recent schedules and inventory control parameters for products and services, consistent with requirements or as arranged with requisition
•    Identifies problem areas, initiates corrective action and establishes problem resolution dates in a timely manner; resolves discrepancies between purchase order requirements and supplier performance
•    Plans for submission and inspection of products as required and assures timely execution of products and service sourcing activities
•    Reschedules in case of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs and other interruptions
•    Other responsibilities as assigned
•    Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
•    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education:   Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years' Experience: 7+ years of planning experience in an industrial or aerospace manufacturing environment
Skills:
•    Knowledge of planning best practices and experience with managing tight development program deadlines in manufacturing environment
•    Solid experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
•    Aftermarket planning experience a plus
•    Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
•    Solves complex problems and exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
•    Strong cross functional interaction experience; comfortable building relationships with internal teams and external customers
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to drive tasks to completion
•    Team oriented, proactive and collaborative
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong SAP system knowledge required
