Job Designation

The Quality Engineer II provides a range of expertise to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed. Participates in assuring a high reliability and proper performance per product requirements.

Job Core Responsibilities


  • With a certain degree of creativity and latitude, monitors, tests, and inspects products to ensure they meet specified standards, are free of flaws, and function as designed. May work in laboratory settings running tests and duplicating real-world conditions, using  tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, volt meters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and electronic inspection equipment to aid in quality inspections and assessments
  • Participates in development of testing and inspection activities associated with product development and all stages of manufacturing. Defines and conducts both systematic/methodical and random/arbitrary tests to ensure proper performance of Meggitt products
  • Performs internal audits of processes using inspection results and statistical techniques to provide timely, accurate product analysis. Participates in root cause analysis initiatives for process-related concerns. Analyzes audit results and determines proper corrective and preventative action
  • Reviews and creates inspection forms, records, techniques, and procedures for accuracy and relevance and provide changes when necessary
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications

Education: Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years Experience: min 3 years of relevant experience 
Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of quality engineering processes and regulatory requirements
  • Strong ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem-solving
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to identify and solve problems proactively
  • Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and make recommendations for improvements to products, processes, or services
  • Ability to explain a range of complex technical information
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong prioritization skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and database management tools\
  • Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $67K - $112K
