Job Designation

The Senior Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs assigned manufacturing related equipment throughout the facility in accordance with standard procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer's specifications and safety policies. Performs complex skilled work across multiple-functions and operations of the preventive maintenance system. 

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Minimizes or eliminates facilities and equipment downtime by completing preventive maintenance on facilities equipment, fixtures and production machines.
•    Troubleshoots equipment and device malfunctions.
•    Makes needed repairs to equipment, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing equipment and devices.
•    Accurately documents all work performed and resources used.
•    Accurately maintains recordkeeping to including updates to parts inventory database.
•    Completes purchase requisitions for parts to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
•    Coordinates with other departments and employees as needed to minimize interruption of production processes.
•    May serve as primary contact and coordinator for facilities related services and requests.
•    Performs other tasks and duties as needed.

Job Specifications

Education : A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or GED. 
Years Experience : 1-2 year's manufacturing experience with industrial electrical control systems.  Apprentice program graduate may be considered in lieu of experience.
Skills :
•    Awareness and understanding of Cal/OSHA standards and guidelines for manufacturing work environment.
•    Experienced with the use of hand and power tools, meters, gauges, measuring devices, etc.
•    Experience with MS Office programs including Outlook and Excel.
•    Organized, thorough, detail oriented.
•    Current driver’s license and good driving record.
•    Willing to work 9/80 schedule with flexible hours and overtime when necessary.
•    Able to read and follow schematic diagrams, sketches, operating and repair manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
•    Able to effectively utilize Computerized Maintenance Software.
•    Able to operate a scissor lift and climb ladders.
•    Openness to continuous improvement, accountability and a lean culture.
•    Demonstrates and maintains a professional demeanor in all situations including the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.   
•    Ability to prioritize competing commitments in line with company objectives.
•    Journeyman or Master - Electrician or HVAC certificate preferred.
