Expertise in this division ranges from heat exchangers used in off-shore gas processing to the design and manufacture of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock and pressure measurements. Our heat exchanger technology has not only enabled our customers to save weight, space, and money, but offer higher duties, smaller sizes, and greater integrity over conventional heat exchangers. We are a leading supplier of small-frame gas turbine actuation systems and fuel metering valves for the oil and gas and power generation sectors.

Our Defense Systems product group includes a wealth of expertise with products ranging from airborne decoy deployment systems to projectile tracking technology is another of our specialties. We produce tiny radar systems that are installed on drone aircraft to track incoming missiles or bullets, reassuring aircrew and missile manufacturers that their weapons are working as advertised.

Job Designation

The Engineering Supervisor, Manufacturing  oversees and supervises the daily activities and sets priorities for the Manufacturing Engineering Team. Provides support and directions in increasing manufacturing capabilities and participates in the introduction of new products to the manufacturing and supply chain environment.                                                                 

Job Core Responsibilities

•     Oversees, directs and allocates the daily Manufacturing Engineering activities and resources to attain optimum productivity
•     Supervises a variety of manufacturing engineering assignments to meet company requirements
•     Provides objective, functional and financial guidance on capital expenditures to division management and follows up on the implementation process 
•     Initiates and develops standards, procedures and processes to reduce costs and to improve production operations
•     Reduces costs and improves manufacturing profit, using best practices and professional knowledge
•    Collect root cause data to develop, own, and execute “living” action plans to address top Pareto items adversely affecting performance in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.
•    Manage the Operations Engineering DLA board & activities.
•     Provides technical direction and guidance to other team members
•     Increases manufacturing capabilities and participates in the introduction of new products to the manufacturing and supply chain environment
•     Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs
•     Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
•     Other responsibilities as assigned
•     Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
•     Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree in Engineering
Years' Experience: 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills:
•    Proficient with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement
•    Specialized expertise in providing Manufacturing Engineering solutions
•    Experience in manufacturing processes for mechanical & electrical components processes (conformal coating, flow solder, SMT, rigid epoxy encapsulation)
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools
•    Solid analytical skills and judgment to proactively identify and solve increasingly complex problems
•    Effective leadership skills and ability to plan technical efforts to meet business objectives
•    Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
•    Demonstrated ability to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledge
•    Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
