Job Designation

The Systems Analyst provides expertise in planning and designing business Information Systems to improve the work-flow, production and efficiency of the company’s functional systems. Acts as a liaison between the Information Services development group and business units in the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of existing ones.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Conducts technical business analysis to identify initiatives that will allow the business to meet it's objectives
  • Interprets business needs and translates them into application and operational requirements Documents, coordinates and plans the modifications or enhancements to software products Acts as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
  • Possess strong analytical skills with a focus on systems & process scalability
  • Ability to identify correlations and trend analysis
  • Builds Complex Dashboards, KPI's and reports from views
  • Understanding of ETL and data pipelines
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis in response to requests as well as investigate data inconsistencies
  • Collaborates with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
  • Proactively communicates and collaborates to analyze information needs and functional requirements Plans, promotes and organizes internal training activities related to new product modifications or enhancements
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education : Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years Experience : 5+ years of relevant experience
Skills :

  • Experience in developing and maintaining scripts in various programing languages such as Python, SQL and VBA.
  • Prefer experience in developing and maintaining various analysis, reporting and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Basic Knowledge of SCADA and network infrastructure
  • Advanced analytical skills and strong mathematical aptitude to proactively identify and solve problems. Ability to apply creative thinking in the use of management systems and development of business processes.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership skills, including the ability to gather clear business requirements.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion,
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Completion Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
