Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

Program Management is a business critical function charged with delivering the Program Business case and achieving customer satisfaction. The Sr. Program Manager (Sr. PgM) provides integrated management of constituent projects and other resources to achieve the program Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and business case objectives. Also provides leadership, coordination and direction to the integrated program team and facilitates stakeholder engagement.
During execution, the Sr. PgM is responsible for management and control of the Business Case, driving action to optimize outcomes, managing the program scope, risks, opportunities, schedule and budget adherence. Has ownership of the customer relationship, has authority to execute a decision making process on the impact of out of scope issues and to lead related commercial negotiations and contract amendments in conjunction with the commercial lead.

Job Core Responsibilities

Program Scope Management
•    Support bid and proposal activity and develop business models in accordance with Meggitt bid management procedures; act as bid manager as directed for bids and proposals assigned.
•    Preparing the Program Charter, identifying program milestones, deliverables and critical success factors against which the program will be managed.
•    Preparation and maintenance of the Program Management Plan (PMP) and execution of the program in order to deliver the Business Case.
•    Establishes and maintains a comprehensive WBS for the program.
•    Tracks program scope and ensures that any requirement changes are managed in accordance with the change clauses in the contract leading customer negotiations where appropriate
Business Case Achievement
•    Managing program costs and revenues against the approved business case to achieve expected returns.  Authorizes spend against the program budget;
•    Tracking the program against the signed off business case, ensuring Non-Recurring and Recurring Cost targets are achieved initiate cost reduction programs where necessary.
•    Review and management of cost and schedule performance through Earned Value metrics – driving corrective action where required.
Managing Resolution of Risks & Issues
•    Tracks program status against the customer deliverables and critical success factors defined in the program charter.  Ensures identified program issues and risks are managed through effective recovery or mitigation plans.

Customer Satisfaction
•    Owns customer relationship at senior level to achieve a level of satisfaction that creates a desire to the part of the customer to automatically select the company for the next program.
•    Develop and manage key customer communications to ensure they know they have been heard and we are actively making progress on their needs
•    Manage the interface with internal and external customers for assigned programs.
PLM Compliance
•    Ensures the program is managed through the PLM gate reviews, ensuring requirements for each gate are understood and the Program Team is adequately prepared for the review. 
•    Own the Lifecycle Management Process and assume responsibility for its maintenance, application and adherence.
Primary working relationships & interfaces
•    Works with functional management across the functional matrix organization to identify and deploy suitable program resources to achieve program objectives;
•    Works with the Business Development team and/or relevant Key Customer Account team to interface with the customer for program specific topics.

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience: 5+ years of program management experience
•    Applies broad aerospace industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance across sub-functions                                
•    Self-motivated and tenacious with the energy to motivate others and withstand setbacks.  Able to work under minimal supervision
•    Strong business acumen, track record in managing and leveraging maximum value from complex business relationships
•    Clear thinker with ability to resolve complex business problems through creative solutions, while applying analytical thought and judgment              
•    Ability to network and initiate key relationships and interfaces                           
•    Superior interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence, while exercising sensitivity to the audience                              
•    Demonstrates a high level of ethical behavior in exercising judgment and discretion in matters of significance                       
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
