The Senior Financial Analyst is a core part of our Finance team. Will work closely with our sales and planning teams to build robust revenue projections which will drive our production plans, constantly looking at how we can enhance the process to deliver a better quality forecast more quickly.  Will also review actual performance against the projections, analyzing variances and identifying opportunities to maximize the performance of the business.  All in all, this role has a broad reach across a diverse and fascinating business, providing great learning opportunities for an ambitious and capable individual who wants to build their career in an international manufacturing organization.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business.
  • Performs month-end close responsibilities in SAP and BFC including reporting for the Product Group and the site.
  • Provides support to program management, Advanced Composites efficiency and Ops metrics reporting, CAPEX reporting. Sends and collects Product Group templates.
  • Evaluates manual and automated financial accounting processes, systems and procedures for efficiency of workflow and conformance to principles of accounting.
  • Performs a variety of economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • The primary duties of this job require administrative, non-manual work directly related to business operations involving responsibility for processes and policies of significance, evaluation of possible solutions and results of the work for which the employee is responsible and making recommendations and/or decisions accordingly using professional judgment.  Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Years' Experience: 5 - 7 years of relevant Finance experience in a manufacturing environment
Skills:    

  • Thorough understanding and experience of standard accounting concepts, practices, procedures and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience
  • Ability to analyze and translate complex data into easily understandable information and makes recommendations; uses expertise to solve complex problems
  • Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information effectively 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and database management too
