Job Designation

The Accounts Pay/Recievable Specialist performs general accounting activites, including the preparation, maintenance and rerconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements.  Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions, while ensuring the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Job Core Responsibilities

Examines, Analyzes and interprets accounting records to prepare financial reports and statements.

Completes complex projects and analysis for accounting and/or finance areas.

Analyzes and verifies internal consistency, completeness, and accuracy of accounting documents.

Prepares all required financial and accounting records for inside and outside auditors.

Participates in forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.

Conducts and assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

Other responsibilites as assigned.

Job Specifications

Post-Secondary Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation.

10+years of experience.

Knowede and experience in financial accounting and control processess, while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Strong attention to detail, good organzational skills and ability to prioritize with changing situations.

Ability to problem solve using existing procedures, analysis and standard practicies to make judgements.

Effective interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations and documentation.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database managment tools.
