Job Designation

The Operations Analyst provides special knowledge and data for the project management team(s). Defines key performance parameters and creates reports to track project progress, including budget tracking and financial forecasting, and project evaluation and monitoring. Data analysis is a key requirement and requires the successful candidate to identify areas of concern, data consistency errors, and provide these analyses to the cognizant function. The end goal is to provide business data insights that help the decision-making process.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Performing requirements analysis.
•    Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.
•    Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
•    Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
•    Coordinates internal and external reports; gathering, analyzing and summarizing data and information for the overall site needs.
•    Streamlines and improves internal reporting. Develops, designs, and establishes reporting standards for the site.
•    Evaluates and monitors the performance and efficiency of various functions to ensure that timelines are met.
•    Evaluates the progress of the project and communicates regular updates to project teams and company leadership.
•    Monitors project budgets; reviewing reports and program expenses to determine if allocated funds are used appropriately.
•    Interfaces with the project team to discuss progress as well as identifying opportunities for improvement.
•    Other responsibilities as assigned.
•    Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
•    Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
•    Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Business Administration, or Information Technology is highly desired or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years’ Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience; manufacturing background preferred
•    Proven analytical background
•    Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business
•    Budgeting and forecasting
•    Planning and monitoring
•    A track record of following through on commitments
•    Financial modelling & variance analysis
•    Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
•    Excellent time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize with changing situations
•    Demonstrated analytical skills and judgment to proactively identify and solve problems 
•    Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to effectively drive tasks to completion
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills and data base management tools; Power BI skills highly desired
