Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

As a member of the Site HR Department, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs, with the responsibility of providing customer service to a population of over 900 employees. The HRBP carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: departmental processes, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee engagement and culture, talent development, employee relations, training, performance management, and other related activities.

Job Core Responsibilities

Employee Relations/Labor Relations:
•    Conducts and documents thorough investigations of employee relations issues
•    Provides balanced guidance to managers and other stakeholders in resolving employee relations issues and managing low performing employees
•    Utilizes the Meggitt Employee Handbook when making recommendations for disciplinary action
•    Partners with managers to prepare and deliver performance management tools to employees as required, such as coaching sessions, disciplinary actions, letters of concern, and performance improvement plans
•    Investigates grievances and represents company at grievance meetings
•    Coaches front-line leadership
General Human Resources Duties:
•    Working knowledge of all employee-related benefit programs
•    Assists with the Open Enrollment process
•    Develop accurate and thorough reports upon request to support processes such as payroll, performance management, and employee population diagnostics
•    Assists in the administration of HR processes such as performance management and compensation planning
•    Coordinates employee engagement events, quarterly all hands meetings, service awards, holiday events, etc.
•    Conducts exit interviews for all level employees
•    Performs special projects related to HR and at times is the HR representative on cross functional teams
•    Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

Education and Experience:
•    Bachelor degree and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience and/or training in an HR Generalist, Business Partner, or equivalent role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Experience in manufacturing environment a plus
•    PHR, SPHR, or Human Resources Management Certification a plus
Skills:
•    Sound administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
•    Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a timely and efficient manner and anticipating critical deadlines
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and management
•    Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
•    Demonstrated knowledge of HRIS systems and other related programs
•    Demonstrated current knowledge of employment law, industry trends, new developments and state and federal statutes regulating human resources functions
•    Ability to adapt to new reports, functions and simple software programs with assistance
•    Understanding of confidentiality within the HR department
•    Ability to lead a team or group of people in a constructive, productive and fair manner
•    Problem-solving, flexibility and prioritization skills are required, ability to think outside the box and apply creative solutions to on-going problems.
•    Ability to work independently and  use judgment to resolve both routine and non-routine issues
•    Ability to work in a team-based environment with other levels of the organization
