Job Designation

Meggitt Training Systems Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to join our growing firearms training business.  MTSI is the leader in development, manufacturing and fielding of high tech firearms simulation systems and live fire targetry ranges for military, law enforcement and security agencies all over the world.


The Proposal Coordinator will have the responsibility of coordinating the preparation of quotes and proposals in response to Sales requests. The ability to meet deadlines, a commitment to teamwork, and detailed follow-through will be the key to success in this role. The Proposal Coordinator will work with key individuals at various levels and functions across the organization.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Exercise full responsibility and authority for managing quote/proposal efforts ranging from simple catalog product quotes to small proposals.
  • Coordinate efforts with assigned lead personnel from the various departments across the company to ensure all timelines are met.
  • Ensure quotes/proposals are in accordance with company policy and customer-specified instructions.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years' Experience:  3-5 years of proposal management experience


  • Proven ability to plan and manage quotes and small-size proposal efforts
  • Proven ability to analyze, understand and translate Request for Quotations (RFQs) and general sales requests into plans that the team can execute
  • Proven ability to plan and coordinate write-ups based on MTSI quote and proposal templates and some custom write-ups as needed to augment the templates.  Includes review and edit of documents, formatting, production and submitting of the final proposals/quotes
  • Proven ability to plan and coordinate team cost and pricing efforts
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of personnel from various organizations
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Exceptional facilitation and organization skills are required
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work with all levels within an organization
