Job Designation

This strategically important and high profile role will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to help shape Meggitt’s digital future, delivering the digital manufacturing functionality that Meggitt will utilise in production cells. This will include MES systems, digital SPC, augmented reality, machine connectivity, smart tooling and interfaces to ERP, quality systems and business intelligence tools. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for developing and deploying these technologies to the business. A large part of this will be working with operations, continuous improvement and quality teams at SBUs and sites so that we deploy the right tools in the right ways to solve the right problems. Project managing the first stage definition and deployment of digital manufacturing solutions at allocated sites, proving expertise and guidnace to ensure that deployed solutions prove the viability and business benefit. Supporting the deployment of second and third phases of digital manufacturing solutions, providing leadership, guidance and training where required.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and drive for teams to successfully execute delivery of Digital projects through the application of appropriate monitors, controls and KPIs
  • Develop and display Subject Matter Expert level knowledge in selected Digital technologies to be capable of providing leadership and support on methods and process to the business before, during and after deployment
  • Drive accountability for the sites to deliver business case commitments through rigorous scope, cost, schedule, resource and risk management, and evidence the business case benefits have been delivered upon completion.
  • Proactively manage adherence to governance, ensuring project delivery is managed through its lifecycle in accordance with Meggitt’s Programme Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles, providing feedback for opportunities to improve and enhance the process.
  • Develop internal and external project stakeholder relationships, ensuring management of expectations and escalations with appropriate professional support. Collaborate closely with SBU, digital team and central ITG to develop and implement enterprise systems that will support Meggitt’s digital strategy.
  • Support the development of the business case for allocated SBUs and sites to support the deployment of digital manufacturing solutions meeting the requirements of both Meggitt PLC and the SBU. Secure commitment for required resources to implement solutions at the sites.

Job Specifications

  • Education Level: (Required):        Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related field or equivalent experience
  • Organisational awareness and commercial intuition; understands global context & impacts of decisions, optimising the Business Case while building the Customer Relationship
  • Plans and prioritizes work across multiple activities & projects to meet commitments; holds self and team accountable to meet commitments
  • Excellence verbal and written communication skills at all levels within an organization
  • Presentation skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
  •  Travel up to   20%
