Job Designation

The Senior Project Manager will plans, organizes, and manages all activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of the assigned project(s) within established objectives. Oversees project life cycle and ensures results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, scheduling, and cost.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Facilitates timely decisions to maintain project schedule and budget, while providing metric updates to management
  • Monitors project budgets; reviewing reports and project expenses to determine if allocated funds have been spent as specified
  • Follows established guidelines to manage the completion of project milestones from beginning to end of lifecycle
  • Identifies project risks and provides solutions to minimize/eliminate risks; monitoring key project processes for compliance with objectives
  • Responsible for internal distribution of all project related documentation for review and revisions as required
  • Builds strong relationships with customers and develops a deep understanding of their objectives
  • Leads and directs work for a team of employees as defined by business  needs
  • Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and  expectations
  • Other responsibilities as  assigned
  • The primary duties of this job require management of business or department, supervising 2 or more full-time employees (or equivalent). Responsibilities include hiring and firing subordinate employees (or effectively recommending such decisions), interviewing, selecting, and training employees; setting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of work; directing employees’ work; maintaining production records for use in supervision; appraising employees’ productivity and efficiency for recommending promotions or other changes in status; handling employee complaints and grievances; disciplining employees; assigning work among employees, and providing for the safety and security of the employees. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Job Specifications

Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job  expectations

Years Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience


  • Strong leadership skills to lead the project management team
  • Solid experience in project management methodology
  • Possess a strong technical background to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements, and capabilities associated with the  project
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
  • Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities along with the ability to interface with cross-functional disciplines; using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear and detailed plans
