Expertise in this division ranges from heat exchangers used in off-shore gas processing to the design and manufacture of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock and pressure measurements. Our heat exchanger technology has not only enabled our customers to save weight, space, and money, but offer higher duties, smaller sizes, and greater integrity over conventional heat exchangers. We are a leading supplier of small-frame gas turbine actuation systems and fuel metering valves for the oil and gas and power generation sectors.

Our Defense Systems product group includes a wealth of expertise with products ranging from airborne decoy deployment systems to projectile tracking technology is another of our specialties. We produce tiny radar systems that are installed on drone aircraft to track incoming missiles or bullets, reassuring aircrew and missile manufacturers that their weapons are working as advertised.

Job Designation

The Program Manager will manage site wide programs and projects throughout the program lifecycle to meet cost, schedule and performance requirements.  Deliver business case objectives for assigned programs.  Manage and work with internal and external program stakeholders to resolve conflicts, provide timely reports and information as necessary.  Manage allocated resources to deliver program requirements. Manage customer’s expectation within the contract or chartered scope of work. Nurture and develop an Agile mindset and methodology as necessary towards project management.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Program Management: Develop and execute Program plans and charters, collaborating with functional leads on functional plans. Lead the site in class-leading adherence to the Meggitt PLM process. Lead interfacing and delighting key customers, delivering world class performance and scope management. Accountable for the entire Business Case across the whole program lifecycle. Lead the execution of the program in order to deliver the program vision, benefits and ‘as-won’ Business Case. Engage with all stakeholders to drive achievement of program Blue Chips & objectives. Manage ambiguity and deliver change across the program team to maximize opportunities to grow the Business Cases.
•    Project Management: Accountable for developing and delivering the full scope of project plans, charters and resourced schedules. Lead the IPT to execute the project in order to deliver the project objectives. Manage across all functions to deliver the project to cost, quality and on time. Responsible to deliver the project through design, development, validation and industrialization. Manage engineering development team as well as cross-functional IPT to deliver the project goals. Champion an Agile team environment and project management methodology. Develop and deploy class-leading tools and processes to optimize efficiency and ensure practice is in lockstep with process.
•    Resource management: Accountable for planning, budgeting, scheduling and resourcing throughout the Engineering department in collaboration with Engineering leaders as well as collaborating with functional leaders on the resourcing of projects.
•    KPIs, metrics and reporting: Responsible for developing, maintaining, executing to and reporting key program and project metrics at all levels of the business and standard cadence.

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree in Engineering, Technology Management, Applied Science, Business or related field required. Master degree is a plus.
Years’ Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in program or project management
•    Product development and manufacturing experience in a highly-regulated industry preferred
•    Experience with electro-mechanical, fluid management and/or thermal systems is a plus 
•    Experience working in Agile or Scrum project management environments a plus
•    Building and leading teams
•    Good verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills
•    Production planning and control system (MRP)
•    Business acumen with understanding of capital budgeting analysis (NPV & IRR)
•    Experienced with product lifecycle management (stage gate) processes
•    Performance management and accountability orientation
•    Skilled in project planning, scheduling/budgeting, and control (PMBOK knowledge areas) using Microsoft Project Online/Server (Online preferred)
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project; Jira a plus
•    Deep understanding for the principles of requirements management
•    Ability to influence stakeholders
•    Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships
•    Demonstrated ability to provide cross-functional leadership
•    Ability to develop strategic plans to grow the business
