Role Summary
Due to continued growth within core and new markets for Heatric in Poole we want to offer several roles for Welder/Fabricators in our world class Holton Heath fabrication facility.
The Welder/Fabricator role is a key part of the Operations team at Heatric. You will play a key role in building bespoke design Heat Exchangers for customers in energy, power generation and energy transition markets. If you are a welder/fabricator with the potential to work at the highest level we want to hear from you. You should have the capability to weld at a high professional standard and the desire to develop further. We want to harness your skillset and creativity to help us grow our business, deliver to our customers and shape the energy transition over the next decade by supplying our high technology heat exchangers into these markets.
Core Responsibilities
Carry out all aspect of PCHE Manufacture to high standard focus on quality and right first time.
Pass all standard weld procedure qualifications.
Complete welds on basic non-complex structure, supports, supports to A blocks, header wedge assembly, welding PCHE’s to comply with ASME IX standards
Ensure timely completion of all tasks and welding activities keeping focus on OTD (on time delivery)
Carryout all production requirement’s in line with the production schedule and as defined by your team leader
Carry out Heatric lifting operations in accordance with Heatric standards
Compliant with all machinery safety processes and procedures
Ensuring high level of reporting unsafe conditions/unsafe acts, identifying opportunities for improvements
Complete all mandatory training to Heatric defined standards
Apply lean manufacturing principles to continuously improve and sustain the production process in line with Meggitt High Performance System (HPS) standards
High standards of 6s to be demonstrated in all areas
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships in welding or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience
Skills:
Knowledge of welding techniques
Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and weld prints
Strong knowledge of basic math
Ability to recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options
Good communication and organizational skills

Our entry hourly rate for our day shift is £15.37 which will increase to £17.50 after training
