Heatric is the market leader in providing Printed Circuit Heat Exchangers (PCHEs) and for over 30 years we have designed, manufactured and provided dedicated lifecycle support to a global customer base in the Offshore, Onshore, Marine and Power Generation markets.


Our Headquarters is in Poole Dorset where the majority of our 150+ employees are based. We have a second facility in Birmingham which conducts our chemical etching process. In addition to our UK sites we have sales offices in Brazil, Houston, Singapore and Korea.

Role Summary:


We have a great opportunity for a Trade Compliance Officer to provide expertise for the business export and import activities. 


The successful candidate will have proven experience within international trade compliance and will lead the development and improvements of our process within the regulations and controls required.   


You will work with all areas of the business to ensure that all staff are educated and informed to make sure all global transactions are undertaken in compliance with import/export laws, regulations and controls. 

Core Responsibilities:


  • Support customer facing departments with trade compliance requirements. Examples include, but not limited to, returned goods handling under IPR terms, Export License Determination and End User Documentation
  • Conduct regular internal audits and as a result develops:
    • Corrective Action Plans with stake holders to ensure compliance with procedures
    • Develops Preventative actions with the stake holders to embed lessons learned ensure future business compliance
  • Ensure that trade regulations and reporting requirements are understood, and local functional procedures are embedded and adhered to by all relevant personnel with within their appropriate areas of the business
Skills, Experience & Abilities:


  • Bachelor's Degree/A level or equivalent work 3-5 years work experience
  • Excellent knowledge of trade compliance, such as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR); Export Administration Regulations (EAR); Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC);  Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC);  US Customs and Border Protection Regulations.
