Job Designation

 

  • The SIOP Manager will ensure the effective delivery of the Site’s Sales & Operations Planning and Operational Planning processes. They will be operationally accountable for delivering improving business and operational performance (Customer Delivery, Inventory Optimization, Productivity, and supporting Profit and Revenue growth).
  • The role will own the Site’s Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring that there is cross-functional input and accountability at each stage of the process in order to deliver aligned and feasible long-term demand and supply plans. The role will be accountable for developing long-term planning scenarios allowing the Executive leadership to create action plans and make decisions that improve operational performance and delivery to the customer.
  • They will manage and drive the execution of the S&OP plans into the short-term Operational Planning horizon. They will own the Master Supply Plan and Production Scheduling processes that balance available resources at the optimum cost to deliver the best possible on time and in full to the customer requirements.

 

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process delivering cross-functionally aligned, achievable long-term demand and supply plans. Ensure a disciplined and continuously improving process allowing executive-level action planning and decision making.
  • Facilitation of the Site’s long-term Demand Plan, ensuring input and accountability from the key stakeholders in developing and approving the plan. Develop methods to model demand changes and their impact on the Site operations.
  • Facilitation of the Sites short-term (Operational Planning) and long-term (S&OP) Supply Plan through the development of the Site’s Master Supply Plan and Production Schedules. Balance load, capacity, and inventory investments to best meet the customer plans at optimum costs. Develop methods to respond quickly to changes in plan and improve performance delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the reporting and analytics for the Site’s Planning KPI performance. Forecast trends and ensure that Root Cause Analytics and Corrective Actions methods drive improved performance.
  • Ensure that the Site’s Planning processes align with Group procedures and that continuous improvement plans are in place to enable the ongoing development of strategy and system capability.
  • Build team capability through effective application of training and coaching methods.

Job Specifications

 

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience / MBA Degree is preferred or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: min 5+ Years of experience in Sales and Operations planning.

Travel and/or Driving Requirements: Travel up to 10%

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities List:

  • Strong knowledge of SAP system preferred (in the following modules): Sales & Distribution, Materials Mgmt., Production Planning, Project System, Financial Controlling, etc.
  • Manufacturing Operations and Demand Planning
  • Effective leader with skills at developing individuals and teams, setting goals and holding people accountable, leveraging resources, effective communication, building organizational capability, and professional presence
  • Immediately develop cadence, provide process ownership, and implement monthly S&OP business reviews, processes and reporting for key elements of the S&OP process.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships across multiple layers in the organization and the ability to gain the respect of the cross-functional organization
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/MRP, Supply Chain Management, Master data management, sales force, and S&OP IT packages/systems
  • Strong analytical background and advanced user of MS Access and Excel
