Job Designation

The Quality Inspection Manager provides leadership, direction, and training for the quality inspectors group within a business unit. Manages day-to-day functioning of the Quality Assurance Team to ensure areas of work, customer service,s and product qualities are maintained to the highest standards.

Job Core Responsibilities

  • Maintains and tracks quality for the purposes of analysis, control, and management reports and maintains a quality system in compliance with applicable standards and regulations
  • Evaluates workload requirements and delegate assignments to inspectors to meet production schedules
  • Verifies the quality assurance objectives and processes are aligned with the corporate goals.
  • Suggests methods for improving product quality, design, or manufacturing processes and facilitates process improvement initiatives
  • Manages investigations and reporting
  • Develops systems and methods to measure, and monitor processes and products to ensure compliant product
  • Leads and directs work for a team of employees as defined by business needs
  • Manages staff selection, performance, development, and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May must work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary.

Job Specifications

Education : Post-Secondary Degree in Quality Assurance or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation
Certifications: Certified Lead Auditor or equivalent experience in a related field
Years Experience: 7 - 10 years of relevant experience
Skills :   

  •   Keen analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail to prepare statistical analysis
  •   Ability to make technical and managerial decisions that will have a significant effect on Quality Assurance
  •   Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams as well as communicate effectively with all internal and external customers and employees in a timely and effective manner    
  •   Able to lead, plan and direct technical efforts, and apply technical tools to meet team objectives
  •   Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management tools
  •   Please note that the salary range information is only applicable to California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location, as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $94K-$157K
