Job Designation
The ZDP Quality Engineer, Senior role defines and implements quality assurance solutions to a wide range of complex issues. Ensures high reliability and proper performance per product requirements. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Lead Parker Fluid Systems Division Zero Defect Program (ZDP) Strategy for Parker Meggitt North Hollywood site
- Performs assigned responsibilities in planning and implementing quality assurance programs for internal, supplier, and customer orders. This includes but is not limited to:
- Inspection plans, measurement methods, and recording forms Quality assurance systems, methods, and procedures
- PPAP Key Quality Element development, i.e Process Flows, FMEAs, Control Plans, Capability Assessments, Production Monitoring
- Statistical methods to control and evaluate process capabilities, where applicable Development of quality assurance data packages for customer review
- Coordinates quality activities with customers, suppliers, and third-party oversight bodies as necessary. Reviews contractual requirements in specifications and drawings with specific attention to quality requirements and leads the development of compliance matrices for customer acceptance
- Provides leadership in acquiring and implementing improved QA techniques and processes and makes key processes visible.
- Serves as the key owner and monitors processes within the scope of the area of specific responsibility. Improves and creates standardized quality processes.
- Ensures 100% quality and regulatory compliance in accordance with documented procedures for all aspects of functional responsibility.
- Provides subject matter expertise while interacting with internal and external customers as well as suppliers by meeting regularly, responding to requests, and resolving issues as they may arise.
- Assists other departments as necessary in establishing standards relative to ensuring product quality. Reviews and approves drawings in accordance with ANSI/ASME Y14.5M 2009 standard, routings, specifications, procedures, and similar documents related to assigned projects. Prepares and provides detailed quality assurance inputs to such documents.
- Translates customer, regulatory, and code requirements into Manufacturing Work Instructions, Quality Engineering Instructions, and Control Plans.
- Review, revise, and writes inspection procedures. Performs internal process surveillance and internal audits. Conducts Basic and Advanced RCCA analysis
- Review, evaluate, and answer customer correspondence.
- Participates in the preparation and maintenance of quality program manuals and related department and divisional procedures.
- Generate, review, and processes Quality Non-Conformities, conduct containment, obtain disposition, evaluate root causes, and implement corrective action as required.
- Prepares program quality inspection plans in conjunction with manufacturing routers Identifies potential project quality issues
- Provide functional leadership and mentoring to Program Quality Engineering and Supplier Quality Engineering as required
- Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $89K-144K

Skills:
• Aerospace experience
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS13100, and AS1945
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Belt certifications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
• Proficient in Statistical Software similar to Minitab
• GD&T - ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
Prefer experience in:
• Project Management
• Lean Manufacturing
• ASQ Certifications
• Lead Auditor certification
