Job Designation
Senior Program Manager will drive the successful execution and implementation of projects within a business unit. The Senior Program Manager will plan, organize, and manages all activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects within established objectives. Oversees project life cycle and ensures results meet requirements regarding quality, reliability, scheduling, and cost.
Job Core Responsibilities
- Leads the Program Management team while driving the successful execution and implementation of projects within a business unit
- Facilitates timely decisions to maintain project schedule and budget while providing metric updates to management
- Monitors project budgets; reviews reports and project expenses to determine if allocated funds have been spent as specified.
- Follows established guidelines to manage the completion of project milestones from the beginning to the end of the lifecycle
- Identifies project risks and provides solutions to minimize/eliminate, risks; monitoring key project processes for compliance with objectives.
- Responsible for internal distribution of all project-related documentation for review and revisions as required
- Builds strong relationships with customers and develops a deep understanding of their objectives
- Leads and directs work for the team of employees as defined by business needs.
- Manages staff selection, performance, development, and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary.
Job Specifications
Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years Experience: min 7 years of relevant experience. Aerospace or Manufacturing industry experience is preferred.
Skills :
- Strong background in project management methodology
- Possess a solid technical background to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements, and capabilities associated with the program.
- Ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional disciplines, using excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities and projects
- Self-motivated with problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop clear and detailed plans
- Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Target Pay Range: $147K - $210K
