Our Airframe Systems division brings together an extensive range of skills and abilities to support some of the world’s leading commercial, business and military aircraft manufacturers.

Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The Sr. Manager, Program Management is responsible for leading and executing the site programs portfolio across all phases of our internal Program Lifecycle Management process (PLM), engaging with all stakeholders in order to deliver the corresponding business cases, objectives and visions as approved or better and in accordance with our company rules. Will head the Program Management Department and Program Managers/Project Managers onsite, ensuring process discipline and competence development. Will participate in the local and corporate methods & tools improvement. Will be a member of the Site Leadership Council (SLC) to represent the program function.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Plan the delivery of the overall programs and associated activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization by establishing and maintaining the program charter(s) and program plans
•    Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the programs
•    Develop an annual budget and operating plan to support the programs
•    Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and the Meggitt PLM
•    Ensure that program activities comply with all relevant legislation and professional standards
•    Define and establish the programs Core Team(s) and ensure that necessary resources are provided by the different disciplines in the matricial organization
•    Ensure that all staff members are trained appropriately on the Meggitt PLM process
•    Supervise program staff by providing direction, input and feedback
•    Hold the customer communication on all programs aspects and communicate with other stakeholders to gain support for the programs and to solicit input to improve the programs
•    Liaise with other managers to ensure the effective and efficient program delivery
•    Deliver the programs status reports in accordance with the PLM, programs charter(s) and departmental reporting process
•    Ensure that the programs operate within the approved budget
•    Monitor and approve all budgeted program expenditures, manage programs budgets in accordance with company rules
•    Monitor business case KPIs on regular basis (NPV, IRR, cash flow projections, etc.)
•    Ensure that all financial records for the programs are up to date and available
•    Identify and evaluate the risks and opportunities associated with programs activities and take appropriate action(s) to control the risks and opportunities
•    Ensure the execution of program board meetings, gate reviews and regular reviews with the program board, including across sites when applicable
•    Ensure visibility of progress, issues and forecast outcomes to senior leadership, using PLM documents, forms, templates and tools as per process

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field; post-graduate education desirable
Years’ Experience: 5+ years of Program Management experience; aerospace background highly preferred
Skills:

•    Strong experience/background with program and project management methodologies
•    Strong experience in managing program financials, business cases and contracts
•    Experience in leading a team with direct report FTEs
•    Strong relationship and leadership skills along with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
•    Build relationships by establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization
•    Knowledge of PMBOK, Risk & Opportunity Management, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma techniques, Earned Value (EVMS)
•    Well organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Strategic mindset
•    Ability to multitask
•    Energy and enthusiasm – and portrays these traits openly
•    Flexible and adaptable to change
•    Self-motivated with problem solving and decision making skills
