Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.

We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.

Job Designation

The Engineering Services Manager leads and directs the Engineering Services Team to provide technical support for the Engineering function. Provides special knowledge and expertise while participating in decision making that have a significant impact on products.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Leads the Engineering Services team to provide infrastructure support for the Engineering function.
•    Governs the department’s associated processes/procedures and standard work activities. 
•    Oversees the processes for creation and revision of documents in the Document Control System.
•    Monitors department compliance with regulatory standards.
•    Ensures procedures are in place to provide continuous operations in event of crisis.
•    Effectively develops staff while reviewing industry trends.
•    Leads and directs work for team of employees as defined by business needs.
•    Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations.
•    Facilitates the capture of tribal knowledge and automation of processes within DFARS regulations.
•    Other responsibilities as assigned.
•    Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
•    Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary.

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree in Engineering or related technical field required. Lean Sigma training or equivalent preferred.
Years’ Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience

•    Proven leadership, the ability to delegate effectively, self-starter, strong communication skills, understands and encourages ‘growth mindset.’
•    Proven passion and follow-through and sound reasoning and judgement when delegating and allocating resources. 
•    Lean Sigma savvy and capable of implementing time studies on key process such as drawing creation and approval. 
•    Ability to work closely with Quality, Procurement, Customer Support Representative, and Operations teams in partnership to solve process issues should they arise. 
•    7+ years of experience of effective complex configuration management leadership and methods
•    5+ years of experience in utilizing ERP systems and proven leadership in planning and coordinating resource tasks
•    3+ years managing and developing direct reports
