Job Designation

The Product Repair Technician performs inspections, tests, troubleshoots and repairs on customer returned equipment, in accordance with rules and regulations. Provides an efficient and effective repair service that meets company and departmental obligations and objectives.      


NOTE: Prior MRO and Pneumatic Values experience.

Job Core Responsibilities


  • Performs teardowns, overhauls, and functional testing of various repair station products and items
  • Troubleshoot complex pneumatic systems and test, diagnose, and repair electro-mechanical systems, including electric motors and servos.
  • Effectively communicates details of repair work to customers as needed.
  • Informs the Technical Support group of recurring failure modes, errors, software problems, and all other occurrences affecting the operation of the repair station
  • Ensures that all repair work is performed according to procedures and per correct document revision
  • Develops and implements product improvement initiatives and ensures that the appropriate training is obtained to maintain the correct knowledge in all regulations, procedures, and processes required to carry out the job function effectively
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications


Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships, or the equivalent experience in a related field 
Years’ Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience



  • Advanced technical knowledge and skills in product repair
  • Working knowledge and overhaul experience of pneumatic valves preferred 
  • Prior MRO experience preferred
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and have prior experience with precision measurement equipment such as micrometers and calipers
  • Effective oral and written communication
  • Proven troubleshooting skills to component level on complex electronic circuits are required.
  • Ability to problem-solve solutions in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures
  • Computer proficient
