Job Designation

The Sales and Marketing Specialist provides expertise to a variety of pre-sell and post-sells tasks and general account administration in order to achieve sales and marketing objectives for assigned product lines.      

Job Core Responsibilities

  •  Provides expertise in prospecting, pre-sales configuration, post sales follow up and general account administration 
  •  Develops sales leads independently through market research, networking and cold calls 
  •  Contributes to gathering  intelligence on market trends and requirements for the product line pertinent to long range forecasting 
  •  Understands promotional materials and technical data relating to the product lines in order to optimize sales efforts
  •  Ensures efforts meet and/or exceed assigned sales objectives and monthly revenue quotas
  •  Participates in the market strategy planning
  •  Other responsibilities as assigned
  •  Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
  •  Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Job Specifications

Education: Post-Secondary Degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation

Years Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience 

Skills: 

Special expertise in sales and marketing concepts, practices and procedures
Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
Ability to problem-solve using existing procedures, analysis and standard practices to make judgments
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills  
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management tools
