Job Designation

The Master Production Scheduler supports the MRO Operations function by being the liaison between Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations for Meggitt's Services & Support (MSS) Miami site. This role will be instrumental in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through scheduling / capacity planning, improves customer satisfaction, and mitigates risks associated with material shortages.

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing the Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) program for MRO for MSS Miami
  • Responsible for analyzing and presenting scheduling, operations, and supply chain data for the Miami site
  • Develop and support monthly reporting and design Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will be used to provide insight into operations and indicators of future performance
  • Design and develop scheduling tools using capacity analyses and material availability data

 

  • Assist in streamlining material shortage reporting so that data can be easily understood and fed into scheduling tools
  • Lead Kaizen and VSM events on functions within the operations to identify process improvements
  • Align and standardize planning / scheduling / material allocation processes to be uniform throughout the MSS Miami site
  • Design and develop capacity planning / forecasting tools for the MSS Miami site
  • Ensure material allocations and reservations are being executed in a timely manner
  • Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Customer Service, to ensure there is alignment with Operations for the execution of commitments
  • Lead the monthly Sales Flash commitments for MSS Miami & monitor quoting activity / material availability to support the Sales Flash
Job Specifications

Education: Post-secondary degree preferably in Business, Operations or Supply Chain or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations  

Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 4-6 years or more of relevant experience
Skills:

  • Highly analytical with excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking
  • Possess a working knowledge of the MRO aerospace industry and the drivers of performance
  • Prioritize work appropriately and maintains a sense of urgency and follow through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with Meggitt staff across the world
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
  • Able to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines

Desired Skills:

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Quantum, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of procurement strategies for unique / complex parts
  • Ability to analyze and present data in a concise, organized manner
  • 2-4 years of scheduling experience in the manufacturing or aerospace industry
  • Experience with, and a commitment to, continuous improvement and a strong knowledge of its tools
