Job Designation

Candidate will be responsible for contract review and negotiation of terms and conditions for nondisclosure agreements, contracts, purchase orders and agreements for various commercial and military customers (domestic and international) in the aerospace and energy markets. 

 

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing cost and pricing data proposals, pricing of spare and OEM products.
  • Commercial Specialist– Assist with managing contracts for programs and/or segments of business. Administer customer requests for quotations, purchase orders, repair orders, and demand plans. Review and communicate customer unique requirements to affected functions within the organization.
  • Work closely with integrated product development team on new business programs.
  • Recognize and assert changes in scope. Prepare negotiate requests for equitable adjustment proposals.
  • Negotiation – Review terms and conditions and prepare information to resolve differences based on business unit guidelines. Develop, execute, and lead negotiation strategies that satisfy business unit objectives as required.
  • Review estimates of material, and assist with the development, non-recurring engineering, production costs, perform requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for the bids; process specifications, progress/status, and other reports; advises
    management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and
    maintain historical information.

Maintain effective liaison and coordination between all functions of company and the customer. Provide support to resolve conflicts and assure compliance with contract requirements. With oversight represent customer within company; champion customer needs and coordinate responses to assure customer expectations are met.

Job Specifications

Education Level: (Required):     Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience      

 5+ years of previously related experience in commercial/military aerospace contracts and subcontracts desired.         
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Minimum of 4 years of Order Management experience/Customer Account Administration.  . 


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

•    Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
•    Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
•    Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
•    Ability and willingness to learn new concepts, skills and techniques
•    Ability to clearly communicate using different mediums
•    Self-motivated
•    Able to establish effective relationships

Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, EAR and ITAR required.

Previous experience working with international contracting desired.

 

Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and internet based e-commerce applications. 

  • SalesForce.com experience desired
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills are required. 
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills are required.
