Job Designation


The Planner supports the sales, inventory and operations planning function for Meggitt's Customer Services & Support (CSS) division globally. Will be instrumental in identifying opportunities to maximize revenue, improve cash flow, and optimize profitability.

Job Core Responsibilities

•       Assist in developing the Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP) program for global CSS sites
•       Responsible for analyzing and presenting sales, operations, and supply chain data for U.S. and international sites
•       Develop and support monthly reporting and design Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will be used to provide insight into operations and indicators of future performance
•       Participate in CSS supplier SIOP meetings and provide input to management teams
•       Implement company standard templates aligned with the Meggitt Production Systems (MPS)
•       Lead Kaizen and VSM events on functions within the operations to identify process improvements
•       Facilitate and consult with individuals and teams in order to implement process improvements
•       Analyze inventory and sales metrics and identify improvement opportunities
•       Work closely with suppliers and other external stakeholders to provide forecasts and improve communications
•       Design and prepare ad-hoc reports on supply chain and operations performance
•       Support projects and special duties as required

Job Specifications

Education: Post-secondary degree preferably in Business, Operations or Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Years' Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience
Skills:
•       Highly analytical with excellent Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Access skills
•       Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking
•       Possess a working knowledge of the aerospace industry and the drivers of performance
•       Prioritize work appropriately and maintains a sense of urgency and follow through
•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•       Ability to work cross-functionally and with Meggitt staff across the world
•       Willing to travel up to 10%
•       Able to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
Desired Skills:
•       Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Quantum, or JD Edwards)
•       Familiar with data warehouses, OLAP databases, and basic SQL
•       Experienced with data visualization programs (e.g. Tableau, Grow)
•       Possess a working knowledge of supply chain planning programs (e.g. Servigistics, Kinaxis)
•       2-4 years of public accounting experience in the manufacturing or aerospace industry
•       Experience with, and a commitment to, continuous improvement and a strong knowledge of its tools
