Job Designation

The Manager, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) for the Danville operations leads the team within a business unit, and oversees activities to ensure alignment with applicable company policies and procedures, as well as, compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards

Job Core Responsibilities
  • Manages staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations.
  • Drives corrective actions and abatements for deficient findings and EHS incidents.
  • Reports KPI data to applicable entities.
  • Defines and ensures the development of safety procedures (e.g., chemical handling, hazardous waste disposal, ergonomic, injury prevention, process safety) used by staff.
  • Develops and oversees company training programs for employees in areas of compliance training, lab/plant inspection, hazardous material handling, emergency response, industrial hygiene, and fire safety.
  • Oversees hazardous waste handling and disposal.
  • Ensures appropriate corrective action is taken when health and safety hazards are identified.
  • Responsible for department budget and project forecasting.
  • Collaborates with other business units to implement the EHS programs, policies and services.
  • Oversees the development, planning, and implementation of environmental, health and safety policies.
  • Manages the environmental, industrial, health and safety regulation compliance for the Danville facility.
  • Directs the work of the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team based on business needs.
  • Job duties may include additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or other manager(s) related to the position/department
Job Specifications

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, or Environmental Engineering and 5 years of experience or 10 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
