Summary

The Meggitt Polymers and Composites businesses within Shepshed, Loughborough are undergoing a multi-million-pound transformation program, which alongside facility investment and lean redesign includes the reshaping of the business for its future mission and growth. The Program Manager role covers the transformation of site office buildings, infrastructure, IT and welfare facilities. The role also includes consideration of opportunities to incorporate actions which converge on our net zero commitments and sustainability objectives. Working with the Business senior leadership team and associates, the successful candidate will ensure that Meggitt Polymers and Composites East Midlands is a great place to work and attractive to existing and new talent. The Program Manager leads the Project Management team while driving the successful execution and implementation of projects, following the Meggitt MOPS-5 Transformation governance process. Plans, organises and manages all activities necessary to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects within established objectives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the Project Management team while driving the successful execution and implementation of projects, within a business unit.
  • Facilitate timely decisions to maintain project schedule and budget, while providing metric updates to management.
  • Monitor project budgets; reviewing reports and project expenses to determine if allocated funds have been spent as specified.
  • Follow established guidelines to manage completion of project milestones from beginning to end of lifecycle.
  • Identify project risks and provides solutions to minimize/eliminate risks; monitoring key project processes for compliance with objectives.
  • Responsible for internal distribution of all project related documentation for review and revisions as required.
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their objectives.
  • Lead and direct work for team of employees as defined by business needs

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, particularly seniors.
  • Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
