Role Summary

The successful candidate will be able to independently manufacture products on time to full customer requirements using process specifications and customer drawings.

The production operative performs a range of routine manufacturing operations, under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures

Core Responsibilities

  • Work unsupervised in the manufacture of the parts, ensuring that all tooling and materials are of the required quality standard, including trimming and finishing.
  • Build complex parts, following working instructions (SFS’s) and able to read/interpret drawings and work to tight tolerances
  • Carry out advanced activities eg mixing, metal prep
  • Set, operate and check relevant machinery eg ovens, presses, lathes, calendars etc.
  • Be responsible for identifying and/or reporting tooling issues if unable to rectify to avoid producing defective parts
  • Comply and operate within all EHS, Quality and Company policies and procedures at all times
  • Attendance of start of shift meeting with team to understand the teams targets, any key issues / problems and any other communications (e.g. visits, health & safety issues etc)
  • Detects and escalates any issues to team leaders in timely manner
  • Liaise and work with all colleagues within the Manufacturing Module and other Depts as required
  • Undertake training as required
