This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to be a key part of influencing & leading the business to achieve its full potential in terms of growth sales and operating profits. This is a Shepshed site leadership role, to be the right hand of the plant manager. The successful candidate will have a strong character, to able to work autonomously and who has the ability to make the difficult decisions to do the right thing for the business.




  • Support the planning function in Shepshed facility
  • Support and promote the Meggitt Production System along with driving High Permanence Culture of ownership and accountability
  • Meet operational performance standards for safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity and cost
  • The sales, inventory, operational planning(SIOP) second support – develop, promote and continuously improve process
  • Develops sales and operations plan for assigned SIOP product families and NPI components
  • Works with sales to establish demand and operations to create  capacity to meet customer needs
  • Identification of the ‘’plan for every part’’ strategy
  • Optimisation of inventory levels
  • Ensure resources are aligned to future customer requirements
  • Develop and implement procedural enhancements and improvements which make the operational planning, ordering processes and capacity modelling more efficient and effective
  • Support the New Product Introduction (NPI) process via allocation of resource capacity, and adherence to the stage gate process

  • Master schedule planning experience is essential
  • Demonstrate ownership and accountability for the function
  • Drive to a ;make the day’ mind-set to deliver the plan, on cost, every day and install with the team
  • The ability to motivate and facilitate organisational learning
  • Comprehends capacity planning, single point failure and theory of constraints
  • Can offer both strategic and tactical execution solutions
  • Detailed understanding of Lean methodologies
  • Proficient Microsoft Windows software applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Expert with ERP/MRP software systems
