Role Summary
Parker Meggitt are excited to be able to add to their team, an NDT X-Ray Machine Operator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has the necessary skill set and experience to join a fantastic team, based in Loughborough. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience although training would be provided as required to the successful candidate:
Core Responsibilities
Specific X-ray duties and responsibilities include (training would be provided as required to the successful candidate):
- Set up, calibrate equipment, and maintain administration records
- Undertake daily/weekly H&S checks
- Select the appropriate technique for the NDT method to be performed
- Prepare written instructions and techniques for NDT inspection
- Understand NDT standards and specifications and translate into working instructions
- Interpret and evaluate results in relation to accepted standards and specifications
- Organise and report test results
- Clearly identify defective products and produce reports as required
- Involvement with internal, Customer and Authority audits
- Update and maintain company booking systems
- Experience performing Radiographic testing
- Involvement in continuous improvement programs
Job Specifications
- Experience performing Radiographic testing
- Level I or II in non-Film Radiography, either SNT-TC-1A or EN4179 qualifications
- Demonstrate an excellent attitude to health and safety, along with quality assurance
- Be an excellent team player, self-motivated and have good communication skills
- Involvement in continuous improvement programs
