Job Designation

The Sales Support Engineer provides efficient and high-quality support to customers across the entire sales cycle, from the initial request to delivery. He/she supports the sales efforts in technical and administrative tasks, such as technical enquiries, quoting activity, order placement and various other customer interactions. He/she is a key contributor to the success of the sales team.

Job Core Responsibilities

•    Support the sales team from opportunity to post order support, to include but not limited to: customer inquiries, requests, quotations activities, and opportunity management
•    Work with Global Support Management and Sales to ensure that the entire sales process is conducted in accordance with all Parker Meggitt defined processes to include all applicable ISO and internal QA procedures and Export Control rules 
•    Work as part of a team, managing large projects – review specifications, provide solution and recommendations, generate proposals and manage thru completion
•    Assist with market analysis specific to the future product development needs for the Energy market
•    Further develop knowledge of applications and customers within Energy market allowing to promote benefits of Parker Meggitt monitoring solution
•    Provide excellent customer service to key accounts and potential customers
•    Effectively communicate key issues to Management, Order Processing and Production
•    Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the processes to ensure efficiency of the workflow and integration with other services

Job Specifications

Education:  Bachelor degree in Engineering or at least two years of professional experience in the field of mechanics or electronics
Years’ Experience:  3-5 years of relevant experience in either a technical sales or engineering role; experience with vibration instrumentation a plus
Skills
•    Capability and motivation to learn; ability to problem solve 
•    Use of business tools, including SAP and Salesforce.com
•    Good understanding and application of business processes
•    Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
•    Ability to travel up to 10% to trade shows and sales meetings
•    Team player, strong customer service focus
•    Dynamic, motivated, easy learning, careful, reliable, flexible
